HELP! software counterfeiting?

so one day out of nowhere i get this notice from my windows XP that my Laptop might be a victim of software counterfeiting. Can someone please explain what is going on because I am totally lost. I mean I've worked with this Laptop for a while a nothing like this has happened. So what is this? and how can I solve it? and does it damage my Computer?
