Literati: How can I break down the numbers of tiles PER alphabet? Seems there are an odd ortment...?

I believe I'm trying to compare Literati with Scrabble. I don't know what sources the game uses for word-authentication - and then WHY can't we know how many tiles of each alphabet character there is? For example tonight, there was no "K" to be found. Help me out here - because the "HELP" section is anything but....
