Can you catch rabies from a rude badger?

hi im mike if its wild it could have rabbies but they have a bad temper anyways but i have seen people with all kinds of pets i have a rabbit and a snake both i caught in the wild as babies and the r tame ive even had a cotton mouth as a pet and it never bit me so its all in the way u treat them i guess i hope this helps
