Now that the ault in Gaza is over, is it time for the media to turn its attention to Sri Lanka?

A large part of why people perceive news organizations to be biased is because the media decide which stories to broadcast and which to cover in depth. Apparently, we can only know about one or two big murder cases, a couple of conflicts, international accidents if they involve Americans, bombings if they involve muslims on either side, and we need to have more bodies the further away it is. Twenty people killed in a remote area isn't news unless there's an American or a white European. I saw the latest on the Sri Lankan situation on BBC.com, I don't think I've seen anything on a US headline.
