How do I lock my car doors without activating the alarm?

I have a 2001 Mercury Sable and lately my alarm keeps randomly going off for no reason. Until I get the alarm fixed, How do I lock my doors without activating the Alarm? The manual says that the alarm is automatically armed when you lock the doors using the key fob or the power lock on on the doors. Can I manually push down the lock nob next to the window? I just want to figure out a way to lock my doors WITHOUT activating the car alarm.
